Still worried about Samson - he had his eye out Friday and a prosthetic silicon ball put in. Aside from being frustrated with having to wear the conical collar and being unable to wash his gammy eye, he seemed to have perked up a bit, possibly due to being rid of the pressure they said would have been causing him a fair amount of discomfort in the past couple of weeks.
But this morning he was very lacklustre, hardly bothering to raise his head from the chair where he spent the night. It reminds me a little too much of how Ben was when the kidney failure took him. Now i'm getting worried that the unbalanced staggering Sam was exhibiting a little yesterday might have been from that, not just a result of the collar or missing eye. God, i hope it's not.
I know he's not young and may only have a year or two left with us, but please let him at least have that.
