Nov. 11th, 2005 01:24 pmI noticed a headline of this article the newspaper in the tea room this morning:
We don't want to work with these thugs
I flicked through to read it, maybe wishfully wondering if there might be something involving other muslims rejecting the actions of these hotheads (which would be a very useful development right about now). There wasn't anything along those lines, not sure why i thought there might be, but instead what did jump out at me was the quote: "We don't want them here," he said. "Not all Muslims are terrorists, we know that. But beating up television crews . . . that's just un-Australian."
*bangs head on desk*
*mutters*
*bangs head on desk a few more times*
Okay, now i'm quite sympathetic to the idea of spontaneous grass-roots social sanctions and cold shoulders against people who behave in unacceptably violent and antisocial ways, in fact i can imagine circumstances where i'd like to see it happen more often, but with all due respect to passionately held views and people's right to express them in whatever language they deem appropriate, i just have to say WILL YOU PLEASE STOP USING THAT FUCKING IDIOTIC WORD YOU MINDLESS SLOGAN SPOUTING CLICHE PARROTING CRETINS!!!!!
Thank you.

Date: 2005-11-11 04:08 am (UTC)Dear Mr Kent, thanks for having the guts to stand up and speak for myself and other fair-go loving, true blue Australians and our never hit a guy in the back, step outside and go one on one like a man way of life, which is struggling to survive the flood of violent, criminal grubs that is swamping us. By the way, here's a nice, big Aussie cup of GET FUCKED, CUNT.
(Well, you did warn me.)

We don't do it that way."
Well, we will soon enough. Thanks to Howard.

Date: 2005-11-11 03:45 am (UTC)Anyone catch Morgan Spurlock's show last night where a Christian from Virginia (I think) was forced to live as Muslim for 30 days? It should be compulsory viewing for everyone who uses the phrase "un-Australian."

Cos that's what I am, according to John Howard (and even someone who had a go at me on my own LJ during the week but was too gutless to identify themself).
I'm so fucking sick of this.
Yes, I'll wear it in public and if anyone's dumb enough to talk at me about their political views I'll give them a mouthful.
It's well past time to poke a stick in and stir the shit.
Got the t-shirts, ink, rollers, practiced making a stencil on Tuesday as a proof-of-concept.
Prototype happens this weekend.
If there's no photos up in my LJ by Monday, don't email me or try to make contact because you'll get arrested as a terrorist, too. ;)
