Finally made it to Cabaret Nocturne last night and had a great time. It seems to be the mirror image of most other clubs i've been to over the years - industrial and Mansony stuff to listen to early on then gothy stuff later just as you get restless and want to dance. Even the industrial wasn't too doofy, and i could quite enjoy that once i get over the momentary sense of panic that each bleepy beat is setting the tone for the rest of the night. The company was excellent too, a little loud to talk, but you get that. It's nice to be reluctant to leave a club because i'm having such a good time, instead of hanging around not wanting to leave on a down note and hoping it's going to get better.

Hell, i'm in such a good mood today i'm even enjoying listening to some industrial music at the moment (after taking a liking to what was playing in the background at the Goth Garage Sale today), which is much better than the times i used to listen to it because it was the most suitable soundtrack for the foul mood i would be in after having it shoved down my throat for a night.

If only it were on a Saturday night, it'd be perfect.

You've nailed it. Fantastic.:)

Nocturne is good, isn't it? I'm so happy there's a bit of a backlash happening against the wave of EBM that threatens to engulf the scene. Glad you had a good night; it was nice to see you there - and your hair rocks.:)
