'slike i never left, innit?
Jan. 12th, 2005 05:10 pmBack at work again, though it doesn't even seem like i've had a holiday (more like a three week working bee - not looking forward to moving again in a hurry, though it may be as soon as next year).
I may not be as talkative on LiveJournal this year, as i'm determined to not let it (or any other private stuff) overflow into work time. Regardless of whether my brain's deadlocked or i'm waiting on other people before i can get on with something (and regardless of whether the work/break time distinction is respected both ways) i have to draw the line as it's just not worth the stress of getting snowed under. I'll probably get snowed under anyway, but at least i'll know it's not from spending work time on non-work stuff.
Now, let's see how long i can stick to that.
Edit - i like how the music is so often appropriate without me trying.

Date: 2005-01-13 04:26 am (UTC)Mmmm. Cleaning up the old place was a chore and a half. Amazing how grotty it gets down behind things where you can't see, and how much crap you accumulate in 7 years.
Don't want to do that again in a hurry, but we might have to any way (we found out the day we moved in that the owners of the new place have just got a planning permit to put a second storey on, so we could be hitting the road again in a year's time - effing great!).

Date: 2005-01-13 04:26 am (UTC)Same suburb, different street. In fact, it's pretty much around the corner from the old place, which made shifting a little easier. The rent's a bit dearer though, as we were getting too much of a bargain at the last place (which i'm sure is a big part of why we had to shift - they can only put it up 5% a year, but if they kick us out and put someone new in..).
