reasons to be cheerful (for no apparent reason)

Funny the things that cheer you up.

I was walking towards work this morning, depressed and hating the world, when some knob on the road was abusing some other knob who cut him off, screaming "ya fuckin' idiot", as knobs do. Almost out of habit i found myself thinking my usual (non depressed and hating the world mode) thoughts of how much better it is just to chill out and not be the sort of knob that yells "ya fuckin' idiot" and drives with one hand on the car horn all the time.

Walking along chanting "You're a fucking idiot, i'm a fucking idiot, we're ALL fucking idiots!" seemed to cheer me up more than i would have imagined.
