The Wolves of Time

I was going to wait until i'd finished it to mention the book i'm reading, but i'm enjoying it so much that i want to mention it while i remember. It's called "The Wolves of Time" by William Horwood, and i love it. A tale of mythology, gods, legends and destiny, all in the lives of wolves. Doesn't do much for my love of the human race, but it's certainly grabbing my imagination by the jugular. And the spine says it's book 1, so there must be others out there.

once more, with feeling

Since the refugee issue seems to have gone out of fashion as an election issue, i thought i'd mention there's another rally on the issue tomorrow (Friday 1/10), as probably the last event to put the issue back on the agenda before the federal election.

It doesn't seem to have been widely promoted, but i believe the Melbourne event is at the State Library, corner Swanston and Latrobe Streets, from 5pm.
