Horrorpops!

Discovered another good band in a second hand record shop this weekend (Mr Carson, you might like this one). A Danish psychobilly band called the Horrorpops, with a female singer/bassist called Patricia - i say pychobilly, but it also wanders into rock, bubblegum and even ska on occasion, while the vocals are reminiscent of everything from Gwen Stefani to Siouxsie Sioux to the chick from the Distillers. Also features Kim Nekroman from the Nekromantix. (There's a website at www.horrorpops.com but it appears to be too flash-heavy for my dialup.)

This is the one i should have bought two weeks ago instead of that poxy Murderdolls cd. Speaking of which, i realised why i like that 'Love At First Fright' song - it reminds me of the Voodoo Lovecats (not the Misfits at all). Pity it's their only good song.
