We're having an alcohol-free weekend, courtesy of the cats' vet visit sending us to the poorhouse. So, of course, i've been craving a drink since yesterday afternoon. Seriously, i can't relax, nothing i eat or drink satisfies and i keep having moments of "ah, i know what i want" then realising exactly what it is i've just 'worked out' i want. I know a lot of that's just the fact of craving something because you know you can't have it, and it's not like i lust for it all through the week - it's just part of the ritual weekend unwinding - but it is something that concerns me and i'll have to keep an eye on it.

After all, becoming an alcoholic would mean having to give it up altogether, and i couldn't face that without a good stiff drink. :)

After all, becoming an alcoholic would mean having to give it up altogether, and i couldn't face that without a good stiff drink.</em? *chuckles*My father was a very hard drinker a lot of his life, and after seeing a few friends become serious alcoholics he would every now and again quit for a few weeks, just to make sure he could. Then quit quitting and get another beer :)

(I probably should stop this alcoholism hypochondria trip - it'd probably piss anyone with a real drink problem right off to see someone going "ooh, i feel like a drink, i must be an alcoholic" all the time).
