Is it dilemmas or dilemmae?

darren_strangerElaine spent some time yesterday shopping around estate agents to see what's around in our area that we can afford. One thing that came up happened to be the house Elaine lived in when we first met, and where we first lived together. It raises some interesting questions to ponder.
On the upside, we know the street is quiet and relatively cat-friendly traffic wise, and it's a nice enough place still in our general neighbourhood where we feel at home. On the downside, we moved out of there ten years ago because it was getting too small, and we've accumulated a shitload more stuff since then. On that factor alone, we were inclined to pass on it but, as a different agent was saying to Elaine today, we're coming into the peak period in the new year, where all the uni students are going to be coming to town looking for places so we really don't want to leave it too long. On the other hand, we don't want to do this again in a hurry, so we don't want to rush into anything just because we're panicking. Whether we *should* be panicking is the question.
So, we've put in an application just to keep the option open, but if they offer it to us, which they may, that's when we'll have to really think hard and fast. (Of course it's all a moot point if we can't raise the funds - i worked out we need about $3000 to move. Where the hell do people get that sort of money?)
