The Wolves of Time
Sep. 30th, 2004 01:12 pmI was going to wait until i'd finished it to mention the book i'm reading, but i'm enjoying it so much that i want to mention it while i remember. It's called "The Wolves of Time" by William Horwood, and i love it. A tale of mythology, gods, legends and destiny, all in the lives of wolves. Doesn't do much for my love of the human race, but it's certainly grabbing my imagination by the jugular. And the spine says it's book 1, so there must be others out there.
Just thought i'd share.

There is a sequel, 'The Wolves of Time 2: Seekers at the Wulfrock', and a petition demanding he finish the series:

Date: 2004-09-30 05:02 am (UTC)The Duncton books (there are six over two series) are about moles and are lovely. They actually changed my perspective on life a little.
William Horwood also wrote a remarkable book about the journey of two cerebral palsy people called Skallagrigg - I highly recommend it.
Also two books about eagles (not connected)The Stonor Eagles and Callanish
He also wrote sequels(?) to the Wind in the Willows stories.
I believe he has just released a new novel, The Boy With No Shoes.
