breathing room and rock'n'roll cheese

Phew!

Next Week's QA audit i've been panicking about has been postponed by a few weeks, so i can breathe again instead of running in circles going "fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck".  Better use those weeks to catch up, so no rest for the wicked.

In other news, i came across a new band the other week called the Zatopeks.  Nifty, '50s flavoured pop-punk, a little like Boy Dot Com or maybe Devilish Presley meets Happy Days.  I've got a thing for cheesy '50s rock'n'roll imagery at the moment, and you can't get much cheesier than lines like:

Jimmy and the Vipers found me up at the pass

I could have sworn this friday night was going to be my last

I stood my ground like i was greeting old friends

'Cause someday every jukebox record must come to an end

Jimmy clapped his hand, his boys moved in for the kill

Then i heard the Giant's t-bird cruising slowly up the hill

I turned and smiled, said you've got one choice:

I think you better run, here come the Zatopek boys..
