Neverland

Nine Inch Nails touring - check.  VNV Nation touring - check.  An overseas band i have the slightest interest in going to see touring - yeah, right!  Never mind, there's plenty of good local bands - tonight alone there's Mach Pelican at the Espy, Dandelion Wine at Dream, Mr Coffee at the Tote and tomorrow night there's Bit By Bats at.. somewhere.  Wish i could go to all of them, though there's every chance i'll go to none (only seem to get out every second week lately).

In other news, next week's Hissy Kitty Gang Bang has been considerately scheduled for the day after my birthday, so i get to do something fun to celebrate/commiserate.  If anyone who's coming along wants to buy me a drink, feel free, though you'll have to drink it for me too as i have to still be able to work the cd player by 3am (and not go to the loo for an hour).  That way you can get sloshed and think my set is really cool, so everybody wins.

I still think this is too good to be true - my kind of music all night, a nifty loft-like venue with side rooms and seats, and on a Saturday night so i don't have to prop my eyes open with matchsticks.  And this time (touch wood) i'll get to dance - the leg's almost good as new and a test spin at Cabaret Nocturne last week proved most satisfactory.
