gothic rock

Thinking this morning about old school gothic rock (or at least what i know by that name), after some discussions on aus.culture.gothic, it occurred to me that i don't think i've ever experienced that style in what seems to me to be its natural setting - a moshpit. A lot of that stuff is good for poncing about on nightclub dancefloors, but i find many of the faster, thrashier songs are just crying out to be slammed to. The more i think about it, the more i could really go for some of that right about now.

Can't see it happening any time soon, but it's nice to daydream.
